What is Apollo?

A technical synopsis of Apollo can be found here on the home page, however we would like to give our own description. Apollo is a group of students ages that can span from ages 11-17. This is seen as the Advanced Theatre Class at the Fine Arts Center. There is a $45 class fee. There are are three Seasons of Apollo, Summer Season (June-August), Holiday Season (September-December), and Winter Season (January-March). We have three Seasons so that students don't  have to commit to the program for an entire year at a time, and so that they may experience different aspects of theatre.

Each season has it's own emphasis.

Winter Season: Contemporary/Classical Theatre Students are cast in a straight play (consisting of no dancing/singing), and will be able to focus more on characterization and stronger acting techniques.

Summer Season: Voice and Movement Students put together a variety show consisting of  Musical Numbers, Monologues, and Pantomimes

Fall Season: Musical Theatre Students are cast in a musical parody written specifically for the group. And will do a small performance for the Fine Arts Centers Winter Talent Night

This Season of Apollo, the company will be performing a double feature, consisting of a staged production of "The Giver" by Lois Lowry and a comedy entitled "No Clue" based off the Clue Board Game
