We have decided that, in order to help decrease the amount of stress for our current members, we would like to change the audition process and hopefully go on with these changes in the future. We would like to announce that, though auditions will still happen three times a year, once a student makes it into the program they will not need to audition for the rest of the year (if they decide to remain.)
What this means: If you are a current member (Holiday Season 2020) of Apollo you will not need to re-audition for Apollo until the Fall (Holiday Season) of 2021. If you are not currently a member and audition for this current season Winter/Spring 2021 and you become a member, you will not need to re-audition until the Winter/Spring season of 2022, if you choose to stay for all three seasons.
How this will work: As you should know we use a point system in order to see who is brought into the Apollo Theatre Company. If you choose to stay in for the next season we will rollover your points to the next season. If we feel your points may not be high enough we will let you know personally that it would be in your favor to re-audition instead rely on your points from your previous Season.
When you leave the Apollo Theatre Company, whether it be for a Season or a couple of years, you will not be able to rollover your points.
Hopefully, this will help relieve some of the stress off of our current member's backs, and will help us all out in the long run! If you (as a current member) would like to keep your spot for the upcoming season and rollover your points, please call me ASAP, preferably before the audition deadline.
