Hope you all had a great break! It’s our final stretch before we perform! I’m so excited for all of you! Please work so, so hard this week. We know that as long we are all doing our best this show is going to be outstanding. But that’s the kicker, all of us need to do our best. We are only as strong as our weakest link, that means everyone needs to strive for their very best.
Vocal Help
If we are all honest, the roughest part of the show are the vocals. So we have enlisted in some extra help. I don’t know if I’ve told many of you guys about Heidi, but she was my music director for A Chorus Line, she’s amazing and without her I wouldn’t have gained the confidence I did to sing my stuff during that show. She is professional and works with professionals, please show her your very best. She will be coming 2 days this week for rehearsal and will be here for a bit on Saturday. I think she will really help us out. She will mostly be working with the leads but I will make sure she works with the Chorus as well. She deserves even more respect than you give anyone on the directing team, if she is not treated with respect there will be consequences. This means no running around while she is trying to help, listening intently, and following her instructions.
However this does not mean that you can disregard trying to improve on your own. There are some of you who really need to work on your vocals. The songs are so pivotal in this show but can be ruined in an instance if you cannot become your character, or hit the correct notes. Please work hard.
Positivity Board
Starting on Monday, there will be a place for you to write down positive things that you have seen throughout the rehearsal process. Please be respectful and use the sticky notes correctly. Using them to plaster the Fine Arts Center is not a respectful thing. If the sticky notes or the positivity board are misused then they will be put away. Let’s use this as a way to spread happiness and positivity through the cast.
Dressing Rooms
Cast members, the dressing rooms are a mess. Tuesday the directing team came to rooms full of tipped over baskets, costumes strewn everywhere, and props on the ground. This is not acceptable, we have given every way for you to properly take care of your costumes. Starting Monday if we find your things on the ground you will owe us a piece of candy. Please keep the dressing rooms clean.
Punctuality
Parents and cast members, we cannot be loosing rehearsal time. We need everyone ready to go by the time that is posted, not arriving. Please do your best to be on time. And please make sure to text someone on the production team even if you are going to be a few minutes late.

Homework
Please do your homework before you go to bed. I need the rest of you to send the videos of you doing your accents advertising the show. The only people I have videos for currently are Thomas, Sariah, Olivia, Maggie, Emily, Brandon, Andrea, Carter, Sabrina, and Miles I believe. The rest of you need to do it please.
